Zoe Saldana (born June 19, 1978) was born to Asalia Saldana and Aridio Saldana, who reside in Passaic New Jersey. The actress was born in Passaic, New Jersey to Aridio and Asalia Nazario. Saldana. Her birthplace was in Queens. She and her family moved from Queens in New York and to the Dominican Republic when she was 10-years-old; they stayed in the Dominican Republic for 7 years. As they remained in the country, Zoe discovered a keen passion for performance dancing and started her studies at the world-class ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy where she learned ballet and other dance forms.
