Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a writer from Greece, a syndicated columnist and a businesswoman. She was the founder of The Huffington Post and the director of Thrive Global. Author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a writer and philanthropist as well as a television host and owner of the independently liberal online news magazine The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was in Greece and relocated to England at the age of sixteen. At Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in Economics. She was the first person non-UK to serve as the president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. Following her graduation, she was a prominent Conservative syndicated journalist. After a few years after that she launched The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present political landscape. She was able to get several prominent contributors who posted their opinions about politics and culture. Arianna first gained notoriety during 2003 when she volunteered in California's recall vote, in the place of Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of the Detroit energy-efficient vehicle project. Forbes placed her at 12 on their list of the Top Influential Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post on their Top 100 list in 2010. AOL acquired The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. She was then made the President of AOL's media group. It was comprised of several AOL owned properties like Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, and Elli the other, both of whom are journalists and consultants in management. While she was close with father, her relationship with her mother shaped the rest of her life. At a young age she demonstrated the qualities of a leader and is a household name. When she was 16, she moved from the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. When she was in college and was in Cambridge Union, she joined the college debating societies and eventually was its first foreign female president. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned the degree of Master's in Economics. Her professional career as TV host and journalist began after she graduated. In addition, she appeared alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started creating books with his editorial assistance.
